“Bright Clean and Relaxing, Great Staff and Location” Recently spent 3 nights at BYD Lofts based upon reading the reviews here. Our experience began when we were greeted by Milo at the airport having arranged airport pickup through the hotel. The airport was quite hectic - a melee of tourists and cabbies, so we were thankful to have arranged our transportation in advance. Milo was a great driver, and the 1 hour Mercedes drive to the hotel was relaxing. We were warmly welcomed to the hotel and pleased to hear our room was upgraded to one with direct access to the pool. The room was spacious and bright with a beautiful balcony. We had booked the room for 3 people and were pleased to find that the additional bed had already been set up and the little things, like 3 robes, 3 sets of slippers and 3 bottled waters were not overlooked. Throughout our travels, whenever we booked 3 people to a room we never had this level of detail and I was impressed. We had a small issue with an air conditioner unit in the bathroom ceiling leaking due to condensation. Once the staff were notified, a team of people immediately swept into the room and addressed the situation. They turned what could have been a major inconvenience into a minor issue which really just highlighted the staff's commitment to ensuring our stay was pleasant. The rooftop pool is beautiful and an oasis in the sometimes hectic town. The beach is a short 5 minute walk away and all the great restaurants and shopping are a very short walk away. The front desk staff were very friendly, addressed me by name, and was helpful in answering our questions and giving us suggestions on things to do. We ate at the restaurant twice and ordered room service once and the food was great and well priced. Our room service breakfast order was made into a combo on the staff's own initiative in order to save us a little money. We booked the Mercedes for our return trip to the airport and even though our return trip was after the normal check out - the staff automatically extended our check out time to match - we did not even have to ask. I could keep going, but suffice it to say that BYD Lofts provided 5 star service. It is small enough to have a nice boutique and personalized feel, but has all of the amenities to make your stay a memorable one. I highly recommend this hotel and would most definitely stay next time I return. Thanks so much for making our stay so pleasurable! |

“Minor hiccup with Expedia” stayed here for two nights and found it to be very spacious. Overall would recommend this hotel again to anyone staying Patong. Get the hotel to pick you up. it's worth the extra 10 dollars as you're picked up in a Mercedes instead of some sketchy taxi. The ride is much more smooth and relaxing. could really not fault anyone for the service. pool was great as we were the only ones to use it. |

“Modern, well located and excellent service!” My husband and I spent just one night at BYD lofts, before going to Phi Phi island the next morning. The hotel is very well located, 5min walk from the beach, in a relatively quiet street. There are several buildings (2 or 3) and rooms are very spacious with modern design, excellent value for money. We asked for a massage upon arrival and the masseuses were there in less than 30min. The massage was excellent and cheap (550 baht for one hour). We didn't have the chance to eat at the restaurant, we had just breakfast, which was good. The hotel arranged our transfer to the pier early in the morning with a luxury mercedes. Service was really excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. |

This was an excellent place to stay with a very friendly staff. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We felt totally at home . All the most modern features were included in the unit (2 large TVs, Espresso coffee maker, modern kitchen appliances, dual shower heads, porcelain floors, leather couches etc). The staff kept the place spotless. There are a lot of services and modern stores very close to the hotel. You only need to walk a very short distance to get a suit made, buy wine, get a hair cut, get your laundry done, eat at a restaurants or get a good Thai massage. We would definitely recommend BYD Lofts to make your stay in Patong a memorable one |

“Loved it!” Stayed 9 nights at BYD. Room was 100sm, spotless & very nice. Long wall was floor to ceiling windows, really enjoyed that the 'window' ; leading to the balcony folded up like an accordian to make the balcony part of the kitchen. Ordered room service many times, the food was very good & very reasonably priced. Quiet part of town, so we were able to sleep with no interruptions. 3 minute walk to the beach. quite a distance from bangla street for walking, but taxis were everywhere. House band on Sundays is fantastic! And the iced coffee is the best! Highly recommend BYD |

“Modern stylish living in Patong” Stayed at BYD Lofts one night after doing a livaboard scuba diving trip to the Similan islands in January 2012. Let me first say that I have travelled abroad and am used to North American standards. Nice finishings, granite materials, stainless steel appliances etc. Upon arriving, I was fortunate to meet Alex, whom I later found out was the managing director, an exceptional gentleman whom was very accommodating and seems to take a very hands on approach which was refreshing as I've run into some communication issues while traveling. Upon leaving our bags for staff to take to our loft, we were shown to our private loft on the 4th floor. Upon entering I was absolutely stunned by the beauty of the space. It gave the feel of a custom design from an architectural magazine. Beautiful white granite tiling, remote dimmers, 2 LCD screens (living room and bedroom), full kitchen immaculately designed, nice terrace which has big bay windows that accordion open to create an open air living space, great linens, sunflower shower head, the list goes on. I'd be a proud owner of a beautiful space like this, and highly endorse it's high stylistic design. They thought of everything and all travelers will be more than happy with the room. We did have some issues figuring out the iPod dock that connects to the micro miniature speakers mounted on the ceiling, but one simple call and an engineer was there within minutes to help us solve the problem. Didn't get a chance to try the infinity pool on the roof, but am looking forward to trying the next time I stay in Patong. Only a short walk to the main Bangla street in Patong Beach, its just far enough to be away from the noise and crazyness of the strip. Highly recommended! |

“BYD Lofts Great Apartment Hotel” Our group (3 couples) stayed at BYD for 3 nights in Patong Beach Feb 10, 11, 12... we also ordered the hotel van service for the 30 minute ride from the airport in Phuket. This was good, and not so good. This being our first visit it was nice to be escorted directly to our hotel. However, our driver thought he was running an Indy 500 course, and that was unacceptable. We were not amused when one of our party got thrown forward when he had to stop abruptly from driving too fast and too close to others. We let the driver know our displeasure, but that didn't seem to slow him down. We arrived to the Lofts and the front desk was very kind and helpful. We had requested a cott for each apartment and they were there along with fresh fruit. Our rooms were lovely, with high end fixtures, and kitchen appliances, a place you could call home. It is exactly as shown on the website, very hip, clean and inviting. I really liked the original artwork and the ultra modern furniture, including an IPOD docking station...We had a bit of trouble getting the IPOD to work, but two fellows were dispatched to help us and got the music going in no time The free wifi was great, there was a nice desk where we could skype home and upload our latest photos. The washrooms were huge and beautifully appointed with BYD ammenties. Closets contained 3 robes ( and extra one for the person who would be on the cott) big fluffy towels for the bathroom and big orange beach towels for everyone. We also had a private staircase to the very nice pool. We were virtually the only ones using the pool on Feb. 11, it felt like our own facility. We noticed that the restaurant next to the hotel was expensive so we went out to discover restaurants in Patong. We took the advice of this website to seek out The Sandwich place which was virtually next door. It was very good. The breakfasts, including good Latte's and fresh orange juice could be had for very few baht. We bought bread there so we could make our own lunches, and picked up cheese and meat at the local Family Mart, along with wine, beer and munchies... so we had food in between early breakfasts and late dinners. We also took the advice of the website and booked Simba Sea Trips for a day outing on Feb. 12. It was great with door to speedboat service. Patong is a very very busy place. We wanted to visit to see what it was all about. It was made most comfortable by BYD Lofts. Upon return to the airport for our next flight, we had the same driver who drove much more within the speed limit which was appreciated. All in all, BYD lofts is highly recommended. It's located less than two blocks from Patong beach and is just far enough away to be quiet when we needed it to be. |
